Montgomery County Police Marks 100th Anniversary With Commemorative Ceremony

In recognition of the Montgomery County Police Department’s 100^th anniversary, a commemorative ceremony will take place at the Red Brick Courthouse in Rockville, to mirror the swearing in of five officers and a Chief that took place 100 years ago.

Chief Marcus Jones will reveal the contents of a time capsule buried 25 years ago, as well as share the contents of items to be placed in the new time capsule.

Special guest speakers include Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, and Montgomery County Council President Gabe Albornoz.
