Detectives Investigate 7-Eleven Armed Robbery; Surveillance Video Released

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- Major Crimes Division are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who committed an armed robbery of a 7-Eleven on Sunday, July 10, 2022. Detectives have released surveillance video of the suspect.

 

At approximately 3:15 p.m., 1st District officers responded the 15800 block of Frederick Rd. for the report of an armed robbery that just occurred.

 

The investigation by detectives determined that the unknown male suspect entered the 7-Eleven, went behind the counter and demanded that the victim give him property. The suspect then charged at the victim with a set of pliers and began to punch the victim. The suspect stole property before running out of the store.

 

The suspect is described as a Black male, between 5-feet, 10-inches and 6-feet tall, thin build. He was wearing a grey knit cap, black face mask, a white towel around his neck, a red hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
