Concern for Missing Eleven-Year-Old (LOCATED)

Update: Malik Shannon has been located safe and unharmed. 


Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in location a missing 11-year-old from Burtonsville.

Malik Shannon was last seen on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at approximately 9:30 a.m., in the 3900 block of Black Burn Ln. in Burtonsville.

Shannon is approximately 5-feet tall and weighs 90 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black jogger sweatpants and black and red Nike sneakers.

Police and family are concerned for his welfare.
