Concern for Missing Silver Spring Woman (LOCATED)

UPDATE : August 19, 2022 - Saba Afewerki has been located safe and unharmed.

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 45-year-old woman from Silver Spring.

On Friday, August 19, 2022, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Saba Afewerki  was last seen leaving the 300 block of Wayne Ave.

Afewerki is approximately 5-feet, 6-inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a cream-colored top with black stripes, black pants and a red bandana on her head.

Police and family are concerned for her welfare.
