Concern for Missing 13-Year-Old from Germantown

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, September 7, 2022

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 13-year-old from Germantown.  

Katherine Yasmin Cruz was last seen on September 6, 2022 at approximately 5:40 p.m., in the 20000 block of Appledowre Circle.  

Cruz is approximately 4-feet, 11-inches tall and weighs 145 pounds. 

Police and family are concern for her welfare.  

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Katherine Yasmin Cruz is asked to call the police non-emergency number at (301)279-8000 (24-hour line) or the Special Victims Investigations Division at (240)773-5000. Callers may remain anonymous.
