Concern for Missing Seventy-Nine-Year-Old Man

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, September 13, 2022

Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 79-year-old man.

Wasantha Tennakoom was last seen on Monday, September 12, 2022, at approximately 4 p.m., in the 15300 block of Pine Orchard Dr. in Silver Spring.

Tennakoom has brown eyes, white hair and a gray goatee. He was last seen wearing a white shirt with brown pants.  

Police and family are concerned for his welfare.
