The Montgomery County Department of Police - Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a crash that occurred on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022, at approximately 11 p.m., in the area of Georgia Avenue and Janet Road. CRU detectives believe that a maroon-colored vehicle was traveling South on Georgia Avenue when the driver of the car hit a bicyclist that was traveling West across the roadway. The driver did not remain on scene.

The adult male was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

CRU personnel, the mother of the hit-and-run victim, and other family members will be in attendance to provide information on the investigation and ask for the public’s help in locating the suspect vehicle and driver.
