Detectives Investigate Shooting at Clyde’s of Chevy Chase Restaurant

Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigative Section are investigating a shooting that occurred at Clyde’s of Chevy Chase in the 5400 block of Wisconsin Ave., the morning of Monday, November 14, 2022.  

 

At approximately 12:15 a.m., 2nd District officers responded to the location for the report of an assault that just occurred.  

 

The investigation by detectives has revealed that the suspect engaged in a verbal argument with the victims inside of the restaurant. Once outside of the restaurant, the suspect shot one of the adult male victims in the upper body, hit the other adult male victim in the face and left the scene.  

 

The victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

 

The suspect is described as an adult Black male, with a slim build, armed with a handgun and between 20 and 25-years-old.  

 

Police believe this is an isolated incident.
