Detectives Investigate Serious Pedestrian Collision in Rockville

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, November 15, 2022

Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a serious pedestrian collision that occurred on the afternoon of November 14, 2022, in the 1600 block of E. Gude Dr. in Rockville.  

  

At approximately 5:38 p.m., officers from Montgomery County Police and Rockville City Police along with Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the location for the report of a pedestrian struck. 

  

The investigation by detectives has determined that the pedestrian was crossing from north to south in the 1600 block of E. Gude Dr. when he was struck by a blue 2017 Toyota Corolla that was traveling eastbound on E. Gude Dr. 

 

The 40-year-old pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he remains in critical condition.  

 

The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
