Detectives Investigate Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) Armed Robbery; Surveillance Video Released

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating a commercial armed robbery that occurred on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) in Takoma Park. Detectives have released surveillance video of the male suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.

At approximately 7:29 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the 7700 block of Blair Rd. for the report of a robbery.

The preliminary investigation by detectives has revealed that the suspect entered the restaurant, displayed a firearm and demanded money. The employee complied with the suspect’s demands. The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a Black male, in his 20s, approximately 5-feet, 7-inches to 5-feet, 8-inches tall and 150 to 160 pounds. He was wearing a full-face mask, displaying only his eyes, a black baseball cap, blue hooded sweatshirt, with an orange design on the front, black pants and black shoes.
