Detectives Investigate Theft of Electric Wheelchair in Bethesda; Video of Suspect Released

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police –2nd District Patrol Investigations Unit are investigating the theft of an electric wheelchair that occurred on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, in the 4900 block of Hampden Lane in Bethesda. Detectives have released video of the male suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.    

 

The investigation by detectives has revealed that the suspect entered the apartment building, stole a person’s electric wheelchair that was in the parking garage and left the scene.  

 

Detectives reviewed the surveillance cameras of the apartment building and obtained video of the suspect.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect. Callers may remain anonymous.
