UPDATE: Avalon Godwin has been located safe and unharmed.

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 15-year-old from Rockville.

Avalon Godwin was last seen on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at approximately 1:30 p.m., in the 60 block of N Main St. in Smithsburg, MD.

Godwin is approximately 5-feet, 4-inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He has the word “Godwin” tattooed on his right wrist and was last seen wearing all black clothing.

Police and family are concerned for his welfare.
