Detectives Investigate Two Commercial Burglaries; Surveillance Video of Suspect Released

Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- 4th District Investigative Section are investigating two commercial burglaries that occurred in November of this year, at the Exxon gas station and the Village Beer and Wine store in the 5500 block of Norbeck Rd. in Rockville. Detectives have released surveillance video of the male suspect and are asking for the public's assistance in identifying him.
 

On Wednesday, November 16, at approximately 12:15 a.m., 4th District officers responded to the Exon gas station for the report of a commercial burglary that just occurred. 

 

On Tuesday, November 29, at approximately 6 a.m., 4th District officers responded to the Village Beer and Wine store for the report of a commercial burglary. 

 

The investigation by detectives has determined that the same suspect forcibly entered the businesses, allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise and left the store. 

 

Detectives have reviewed the surveillance cameras in both businesses and obtained a physical description of the suspect.  

 

The suspect is described as a middle-aged Black male, average height, average build, with facial hair, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, a jean jacket, gray jeans and black and red shoes.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect. Callers may remain anonymous.
