For Immediate Release: Friday, January 20, 2023

Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division have received reports and investigated two separate incidents involving suspicious vehicles driving in the Glen Echo and East Parkhill section of Bethesda. These incidents were reported during the first and second weeks of January.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives reviewed home surveillance video and interviewed witnesses, and have determined that no criminal activity occurred.

Although these reported incidents are unsubstantiated, Montgomery County Police are asking residents and members of the community to continue to immediately report suspicious activity. If possible, take note of the make and model of the vehicle, license plate or any descriptions of individuals inside, but do not approach the vehicle.

Residents are encouraged to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 if they see something unusual in their neighborhoods.
