Detectives Investigate Burtonsville Commercial Burglary; Surveillance Video Released

Gaithersburg, MD- Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a Burtonsville commercial burglary. Detectives have released surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him. 

On Saturday, January 7, 2023, at approximately 3:05 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the SiteOne Landscaping Supply store in the 4100 block of Sandy Spring Rd., for the report of a burglary that occurred earlier.  

The investigation by detectives has determined that the suspect used a rock to break the window of the store to enter. The suspect stole property and a debit card. The suspect then used the stolen debit card and made two withdrawals, of an undisclosed amount of money, at a nearby bank. 

The suspect is described as a Black male, between 20-30 years old, wearing a black hooded jacket and blue and red shoes.  

Anyone with information regarding these suspects or this crime is asked to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects. Callers may remain anonymous.
