Montgomery County Police Investigating Single-Vehicle Fatal Collision

For Immediate Release: Monday, February 20, 2023

Gaithersburg, MD - The Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a single-vehicle fatal collision that occurred on Saturday, February 18, 2023.

 

At approximately 2:40 a.m., 59-year-old Lawrence Paul Swenson, of Laytonsville, was driving a black 2015 Chevrolet Suburban, eastbound on Golf Estates Drive near Sand Trap Drive when, for reasons still under investigation, Swenson drove off the left side of the road and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
