Concern for Missing Fourteen-Year-Old (LOCATED)

Update: Jayleen Chavez has been located safe and unharmed.

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 14-year-old from Bethesda.

Jayleen Chavez was last seen on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at approximately 2 p.m., in the 10300 block of Strathmore Hall St.

Chavez is approximately 5-feet tall and weighs 100 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.

Police and family are concerned for her welfare.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Jayleen Chavez is asked to call the police non-emergency number at (301) 279-8000. Callers may remain anonymous.
