Missing Thirteen-Year-Old from Germantown (LOCATED)

Update: Jefferson Amaya has been located safe and unharmed.

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives form the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Jefferson Amaya, a missing 13-year-old from Germantown.  

Amaya was last seen on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at approximately 7 a.m., on Sweetgum Circle. 

Amaya is approximately 6-feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what clothing Amaya was last seen wearing. 

Police and family are concerned for his welfare.  

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Jefferson Amaya is asked to call the police non-emergency number at (301) 279-8000 (24-hour line) or the Special Victims Investigations Division at (240) 773-5400. Callers may remain anonymous.
