Detectives Investigative Identity Fraud and Attempted Theft; Surveillance Photos of Suspect Released

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Financial Crimes Section are investigating an identification fraud and attempted theft that occurred on Friday, November 24, 2023, at the NASA Federal Credit Union in the 800 block of Rockville Pike in Rockville.  

 

The investigation by detectives has revealed that at approximately 5:45 p.m., an adult female suspect entered the bank and attempted to withdraw an undisclosed amount of money, using a fictitious driver’s license. After the request was denied, the suspect left the scene.  

 

Detectives reviewed the surveillance footage of the bank and obtained a description of the suspect. 

 

The suspect is described as an adult female, in her twenties or thirties, with black hair, carrying a brown purse and wearing a black mask, a white coat, blue jeans and white shoes.
