Officers Investigate Pickpocketing in Chevy Chase; Photographs of Suspects Released

Gaithersburg, MD – Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Patrol Services Bureau are investigating a pickpocketing incident that occurred in Chevy Chase. Officers have released photographs of the suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.


On Saturday, November 11, 2023, the victim contacted police after receiving several alerts that her credit card was being fraudulently used at multiple stores. When she checked her purse, she noticed her wallet was missing.

Through the course of the investigation, officers determined that the suspects stole the victim’s wallet at the Capital Grille in the 5300 block of Western Ave.

Officers obtained surveillance photos of the suspects.  

The suspects were described as: 

  • Black female, with short black hair, wearing a black coat with red trim, blue sweatpants, and light colored shoes 
  • Black female, with short black hair, wearing glasses, a black and white jacket with a bear on the back, black shirt, black pants, black and white Nike sneakers and carrying purse 
  • Black male, black and white plaid shirt, black pants and black shoes 
  • Black male, wearing a black baseball hat with blue writing, jeans and black shoes
