Detectives Investigate Dollar General Strong-Arm Robbery

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at the Dollar General in the 13800 block of Outlet Dr.

 

At approximately 8:59 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the location for the report of a commercial robbery.


The preliminary investigation by detectives has revealed that a cashier was conducting a transaction with a customer, when the suspect allegedly pushed the cashier out of the way and stole an undisclosed amount money from the open register, before leaving the scene.


Detectives obtained surveillance photos of the suspect.


The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 45 to 65-years-old, 5-feet, 9-inches to 5-feet, 11-inches tall, wearing a grey hat, grey zip-up hoodie, jeans and white shoes.
