Detectives Investigate Bethesda Double Stabbing; Surveillance Video Released

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigative Section are investigating a stabbing of two adult male victims, following a large fight in Bethesda on Sunday, January 14, 2024. Detectives have released surveillance video and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. 

 

The investigation by detectives has revealed that at approximately 2 a.m., a large fight began outside of the La Catrina Bar and Lounge in the 4900 block of Cordell Avenue. At approximately 2:10 a.m., as one of the victims was leaving the business, he was struck by an unknown suspect, causing him to fall to ground.  While on the ground, a second suspect joined, and both suspects began to strike the victim. When the victim attempted to get to a safe location, he observed a stab wound to his side. The second victim, upon leaving the business observed a group of individuals fighting and attempted to intervene when he was stabbed in the back.  

 

Detectives reviewed surveillance video and obtained a description of the suspect believed to be responsible for stabbing both victims.
