Detectives Investigate Exxon Gas Station Armed Robbery; Surveillance Photos of Suspect Released

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- Major Crimes Division are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who allegedly committed an armed robbery of an Exxon gas station on Friday, February 9, 2024. Detectives have released surveillance photos of the suspect.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., 2nd District officers responded to the Exxon in the 8200 block of Wisconsin Ave.

The preliminary investigation by detectives has revealed that the suspect entered the gas station and pointed a red and black handgun at the employee and demanded that he opened the register. Once the register was open, the suspect demanded the employee to get on the get on the ground and lay on his stomach. The suspect stole an undetermined amount of money and merchandise, before leaving the store.

Detectives obtained surveillance photos of the suspect.

The suspect is described as a Black male, in his mid-twenties, approximately 5-feet, 7-inches to 5-feet, 8-inches tall, wearing a black full-face mask, grey hoodie, black jeans and black and white sneakers.
