Suspect Wanted for Attempted Sexual Assault Arrested

Gaithersburg, MD - The suspect wanted in an attempted sexual assault has been arrested.

 

27-year-old Christopher Love was taken into custody on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Love is accused of entering the Second Avenue home of a Silver Spring woman on Tuesday, April 23, where he allegedly physically assaulted the victim and attempted to sexually assault her.

 

Love, who has no known address, was identified as a suspect, and located in the 11400 block of Lockwood Drive by detectives from the Repeat Offender Unit and the 1st and 3rd District Special Assignment Teams, where he was taken into custody.

 

He faces charges of attempted first-degree rape, home invasion, first and second-degree assault, and third-degree sex offense.

 

He is currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
