Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect who committed two separate burglaries on Monday, March 4, 2024, in Bethesda.

At approximately 6:25 a.m., 2nd District officers responded to the 4900 block of Cordell Avenue for the report of a burglary that occurred earlier.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that at approximately 1:59 a.m., an unknown male suspect forced entry into the business, stole a cash register and left the scene.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., 2nd District officers responded to the 4900 block of Moorland Lane for the report of a burglary that occurred earlier.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that at approximately 3 a.m., the same unknown male suspect forced entry into a vacant apartment. The suspect then stole property from the lobby area of the building before leaving the scene.

Detectives obtained surveillance video of the suspect who committed both burglaries.

The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 30 to 40--years-old with an average build and a beard. He was wearing aa dark-colored jacket and white pants.
