Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police - Major Crimes Division are investigating the death of a 3-year-old that occurred in Rockville.
On Friday, July 5, 2024, at approximately 11:44 p.m., the Montgomery County Emergency Communications Center received a call for a missing boy. Rockville City Police responded to Elmcroft Court, where the child was found in the neighborhood pool.
Rockville City officers provided CPR to the boy, who was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Montgomery County Police Major Crimes detectives were notified, and the investigation is ongoing. No foul play is suspected.
The child’s name will not be released by MCPD.
