Detectives Investigate Lockwood Drive Motorcycle Fatality; Victim's Identity Released

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Saturday, August 10, 2024, in the area of Lockwood Drive and Columbia Pike.

 

At approximately 5:52 p.m., 3rd District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the location for the report of a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

 

The investigation has revealed that a black 1998 Honda CBR600 motorcycle was traveling northbound on Columbia Pike when it made a right turn onto Lockwood Drive, left the roadway and struck a metal light support pole. As a result of the collision, the operator was ejected from the Honda and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The decedent has been identified as 30-year-old Christian Ronaldo Guillen, of Silver Spring.
