Gaithersburg, MD – Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Station are investigating a serious hit and run collision that occurred on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in the area of Briggs Chaney Road and Legend Oaks Drive. Officers are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of a 2006 silver Infiniti sedan who left the scene on foot after the collision.
At approximately 9:10 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to the location for the report of a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle.
The investigation has revealed that a Montgomery County Department of Transportation employee was working at the location when he was struck by the Infiniti.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
