Gaithersburg, MD - 44-year-old Josue Antonio Caceres, of Silver Spring has been arrested and charged for a series of burglaries that occurred in Silver Spring and Wheaton.
On Friday, February 21, 2025, at approximately 10:25 a.m., Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District officers responded to the 300 block of Hannes St. for the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suspect, later identified as Caceres, inside the residence. Officers quickly apprehended and arrested Caceres without incident.
Upon his arrest, officers searched a bag that Caceres was carrying. The bag contained stolen items from the residence and other items of evidentiary value.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Caceres as the suspect in a Wednesday, January 22, burglary that occurred in the 11800 block of Garner Street and a January 30, burglary that occurred in the 500 block of E. Franklin Avenue.
Caceres has been transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit (CPU), where he is currently being held without bond.
