Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police Special Investigation Division are investigating a case of multi-jurisdictional prescription fraud. Detectives have released surveillance photos of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying her.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that, since March 2024, an unidentified female suspect has been fraudulently picking up prescribed medications under other people’s names.
The suspect obtained prescription medication from six different pharmacies, including Safeway and CVS locations in the District of Columbia, Arlington, Alexandria, and Kensington.
Surveillance photos show the suspect at the prescription counter at several Safeway and CVS locations.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect. Tips may remain anonymous.
