Montgomery County Police Real-Time Intelligence Center Aids Detectives in Arresting Robbery Suspect

Gaithersburg, MD – Montgomery County Police Real-Time Intelligence Center (RTIC) helped detectives from the Major Crimes Division arrest 33-year-old Stephen Donatus Sheehy-Poore, of Silver Spring, for a commercial robbery that occurred at a 7-Eleven store in the 8100 block of Fenton Street in Silver Spring.

 

On Saturday, March 22, 2025, at approximately 11:39 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the location for the report of a robbery.

 

The investigation determined that the suspect entered the store, went directly behind the counter and assaulted an employee.  The suspect obtained property and left the store.  

 

Officers provided a description of the suspect to other officers in the area and to RTIC personnel who reviewed surveillance cameras in the area and located the suspect entering a nearby building. 

 

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Stephen Donatus Sheehy-Poore.

 

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant against Sheehy-Poore, charging him with robbery, theft and second-degree assault.

 

On Monday, March 24, Sheehy-Poore was arrested in Silver Spring and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is awaiting a bond review hearing on Wednesday, March 26.
