Montgomery County Police Ask for Public's Help Identifying Man

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, May 13, 2025

Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying an adult male who was killed after jumping off a parking garage in downtown Silver Spring.

The incident occurred on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at approximately 9:57 p.m., in the 800 block of Ellsworth Drive.

The decedent did not have any identification on him. He is described as a Black male, between the ages of 20 and 30-years-old, wearing a white, long sleeve shirt with the Nike logo on the chest. He also wore grey sweatpants and grey shoes.

Detectives are seeking the community’s help in identifying the decedent. Anyone who may have information that could help determine his identity is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Department’s non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
