Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating the death of 49-year-old Fredi Torres of Gaithersburg and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at approximately 11:52 p.m., 1st District officers responded to the Silver Diner in the 12200 block of Rockville Pike for the report of an assault.
Upon arrival, officers found Torres unresponsive and immediately began life-saving measures until personnel from Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services arrived.
Torres was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The decedent was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be conducted to officially determine the cause and manner of death.
