Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating a Rockville armed robbery. Detectives have released surveillance photos of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
On Thursday, June 5, 2025, at approximately 7 a.m., 2nd District officers responded to an armed robbery at the Exxon located in the 11400 block of Rockville Pike.
Detectives have determined that the suspect entered the store and immediately went behind the counter. The suspect then displayed a handgun and demanded cash. When the victim did not comply with the suspect’s demands, the suspect opened the cash register himself and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and property, before leaving the scene.
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 40-years-old, 5-feet, 5-inches to 5-feet, 7-inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a light-colored scarf over his face, a black coat, blue jeans and tan boots.
