GAITHERSBURG, MD — The Montgomery County Department of Police – 5th District Community Action Team (DCAT) has arrested five men and seized drugs, firearms and cash following an investigation into suspected drug activity in Germantown.
In fall 2024, DCAT received multiple complaints about suspected drug dealing in the 19500 block of Gunners Branch Road. In response, DCAT, with assistance from the Special Investigations Division and the 5th District Special Assignment Team, launched an investigation.
On Wednesday, June 25, police executed three residential search warrants connected to the illegal activity. The searches led to the seizure of:

This operation was supported in part by the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network (MCIN). The Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention and Policy provides grant funding and strategic assistance to MCIN member sites, enabling inter-agency collaboration and data sharing to identify, disrupt and dismantle criminal organizations across Maryland.
