Thirty-Five-Year-Old Man Charged in Connection with Lockwood Drive Shooting

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section have arrested and charged 35-year-old Joseph Gordon for a shooting that occurred in the 11400 block of Lockwood Drive.

On Monday, July 28, 2025, at approximately 9:46 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to the location for the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 40-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. Officers provided life-saving measures to the victim until Montgomery County Fire and Rescue arrived and transported him to an area hospital in serious condition.

During the investigation, Gordon was developed as the suspect, and it was determined that there had been an ongoing dispute between him and the victim.

Gordon was arrested on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and multiple handgun related charges. He is being held without bond.
