Detectives Investigate Frederick Road Fatality; Victim’s Identity Released

Gaithersburg, MD – A 34-year-old man died after being struck by a car while crossing Frederick Road in Germantown, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

At approximately 7:35 a.m., Montgomery County Department of Police - 5th District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the area of Frederick Road and Ridge Road for the report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a Toyota Corolla.

The investigation revealed that 34-year-old Branden Corey Williams was attempting to cross Frederick Road, just south of Ridge Road, when he was struck by the driver of a black 2022 Toyota Corolla traveling southbound on Frederick Road. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota remained on scene.
