Major Crimes Division Investigates Memory Lane Homicide

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division, Homicide Section are investigating the shooting death of 54-year-old Sarahi Concepcion Aragon-Cruz of Fairland that occurred on Thursday, November 6, 2025, in the 3000 block of Memory Lane in Fairland.


At approximately 5:41 p.m., 3rd District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the location for the report of a shooting.


Upon arrival, officers located Aragon-Cruz inside of the residence, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were provided to the victim who was later pronounced dead on scene.


The investigation has revealed that the male suspect, who is known to Sarahi, shot her during an argument inside the home and left the scene.


Sarahi’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to be conducted to officially determine the cause and manner of death.

 

Detectives are actively searching for the suspect.
