Montgomery County Police Investigating Fairland Shooting and Homicide

Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division, Homicide Section are investigating a shooting and a separate homicide that occurred Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in the Fairland neighborhood.

At approximately 7:54 p.m., 3rd District officers and Fire Rescue personnel were dispatched to the 3400 block of Robey Terrace for the report of a shooting. Responding officers located an adult male with a gunshot wound. The adult male reported that he had been shot in the area of Aston Manor Drive and ran to Robey Terrace, where 9-1-1 was called. He was transported to an area hospital alert and conscious.

While canvassing the area at around 9:06 p.m., K-9 officers discovered the body of an adult male in the 13800 block of Aston Manor Drive. The decedent, identified as 20-year-old Jadyn Mekhi Brown of Silver Spring, had apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives responded and are currently investigating both cases. It is too soon to determine whether the two incidents are connected.

Brown was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, November 20.

No arrests have been made, and no charges have been filed in connection with either the shooting or the homicide.
