Detectives Investigate Georgia Avenue Pedestrian Fatality; Victim's Identity Released

Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that resulted in the death of 69-year-old Theresa “Terri” Winona Nagle, of Silver Spring and asking for the public’s assistance in locating next of kin.

On Friday, December 19, 2025, at approximately 6:10 a.m., 3rd District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue responded to the 8100 block of Georgia Avenue, south of Silver Spring Avenue, for the report of a collision involving a 2017 Toyota Corolla and a pedestrian. 

The initial investigation has revealed that Nagle was crossing Georgia Avenue when the driver of the Toyota struck her in the roadway. 

Nagle was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead. 

This remains an active investigation. Anyone with information regarding this collision or next of kin is asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.
