Olney Man Arrested in Papa John’s Robbery

Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Patrol Investigations Unit have arrested and charged 20-year-old Dean Steve Bodjona-Ali, of Olney, with a robbery that occurred at Papa John’s in the 13000 block of Georgia Avenue.
 
On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at approximately 10:35 p.m., 4th District officers responded to the location for the report of an assault.
 
The investigation has revealed that Bodjona-Ali entered the restaurant and provided a false name to the cashier in an attempt to pick up an order placed by another customer. When the employee refused to comply because of a similar incident that occurred previously, Bodjona-Ali walked behind the counter and took a pizza. When the employee attempted to intervene, Bodjona-Ali struck the employee in the chest and ran out of the store.
 
Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Bodjona-Ali as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant, charging him with robbery, second-degree assault and theft under $100.
 
On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, detectives arrested Bodjona-Ali in Olney and transported him to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond pending a bond hearing.
