Summary of Events: Wayne Avenue Assault
For Immediate Release: Monday, February 9, 2026
The following is a brief summary of events regarding a large fight that occurred at the intersection of Wayne Avenue and Ramsey Avenue.
On Monday, February 9, 2026, at approximately 6:00 p.m., MCPD responded to a report of an assault in progress involving more than 20 juveniles.
Three juvenile victims were stabbed and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A fourth victim was injured but not stabbed during the assault and refused medical transport.
A juvenile suspect was arrested and charged. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
