Gaithersburg, MD –A Germantown man has been charged in connection with the assault of a 10-year-old that occurred at Dave and Buster’s in the 8600 block of Colesville Road in Silver Spring. Detectives believe there may be additional victims.

The investigation by the Montgomery County Department of Police- 3rd District Patrol Investigative Unit (PIU) has revealed that on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at approximately 10 p.m., while in the arcade, a 10-year-old victim was approached by an adult male suspect. The suspect, later identified as 30-year-old, Christopher Michael Simpson of Germantown, removed the victim’s socks and shoes and smelled their feet before leaving the scene.

Through investigative efforts, detectives identified Simpson as the suspect.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant, charging him with second-degree assault and sexual assault related offenses.

Based on information gathered during the investigation, detectives believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
