Summary of Events - Twinbrook Parkway Homicide

For Immediate Release: Saturday, March 28, 2026

The following is a brief summary of events regarding a fatal shooting in Rockville.

On Friday, March 27, 2026, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Montgomery County Department of Police 1st District officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel were dispatched to the 12900 block of Twinbrook Parkway for the report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old man in a parking lot with apparent gunshot wounds. Officers began CPR until Fire Rescue personnel arrived. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Major Crimes Division, Homicide Unit is investigating.

At this time, there is no suspect information available and no one is in custody.

A news release will be distributed when more information becomes available, including the name of the decedent, following proper notification of next of kin.
