Major Crimes Investigating Twinbrook Parkway Homicide

For Immediate Release: Monday, March 30, 2026

Gaithersburg, MD — Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police Major Crimes Division are investigating a fatal Rockville shooting.

On Friday, March 27, 2026, at approximately 10:20 p.m., 1st District officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded to the 12900 block of Twinbrook Parkway for the report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found 20-year-old Kamonte Dwayne Frazier of Washington, D.C., in a parking lot with apparent gunshot wounds. Officers began CPR until Fire Rescue personnel arrived. Frazier was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Frazier was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where the manner of death was ruled a homicide.

At this time, there is no suspect information available and no one is in custody. This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
