Summary of Events: Detectives Investigate Crabbs Branch Way Fatality

For Immediate Release: Monday, April 6, 2026

The following is a brief summary of events regarding a single-vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday, April 5, 2026, in the area of Crabbs Branch Way and Moccasin Lane.

At approximately 1:41 p.m., 1st District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the location for the report of a single-vehicle collision.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a Toyota was traveling south on Crabbs Branch Way when, for reasons still under investigation, it left the roadway and struck a tree. 

Upon arrival, an adult male driver was located and transported to an area hospital, where he died on the morning of Monday, April 6.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating this fatality. A news release will be issued when more information becomes available, including the name of the decedent, following proper notification of next of kin.
