Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a shooting that occurred on East West Highway on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

At approximately 7:51 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the 1200 block of East West Highway for the report of a shooting.

The preliminary investigation revealed that an adult male victim was shot by a male suspect following a confrontation in a hallway.

The victim transported himself to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time, and no suspect information is currently available.
