Summary of Events: Carrington Hill Drive Homicide

For Immediate Release: Thursday, April 9, 2026

The following is a brief summary of events regarding a fatal shooting that occurred on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in the 12000 block of Carrington Hill Drive.

 

At approximately 5:55 a.m., 6th District officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel were dispatched to the location for the report of a shooting.

 

The adult male victim was located by officers inside his residence suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead despite life-saving efforts.

 

The Major Crimes Division, Homicide Unit is investigating.

 

At this time, there is no suspect information available, and no one is in custody.

 

A news release will be distributed when more information becomes available, including the name of the decedent, following proper notification of next of kin.
