Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police Major Crimes Division are investigating a fatal shooting in Gaithersburg and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating any possible surveillance footage from the surrounding area.

On Thursday, April 9, 2026, at approximately 5:55 a.m., 6th District officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded to the 12500 block of Carrington Hill Drive for the report of a shooting.
