Press Conference: Investigative Updates on the Explosion and Fire at the

Flower Branch Apartments

Public safety officials from the Montgomery County Police Department, Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will provide updates on the continuing investigation. Information will be released on the current status of the victim recovery and identification efforts, as well as the ongoing investigation into the cause of the August 10 explosion and fire at the Flower Branch Apartments located in the 8700 block of Arliss Street in Silver Spring.
